Presentation to the Canadian Disability Studies Association

Liaison with the CDSA

CCDS is represented on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Disability Studies Association and liaises with CDSA on an ongoing basis on a number of initiatives.

Interdisciplinary Master’s Program – University of Manitoba

In a joint initiative with CCDS, the University of Manitoba launched the first Interdisciplinary Masters Degree in Disability Studies in Canada.

Undergraduate Program – University of Winnipeg

In 2007-2008, CCDS began working on the development of an undergraduate program in Disability Studies.  The program launched at the University of Winnipeg in 2010.  The goal of the program is to promote collaboration between research and educational institutions as well as forge an undergraduate program in Disability Studies at the University of Winnipeg.
